Priyanka’s Dance Academy, founded by Mrs. Priyanka Rane In the year 1998, is probably the First Dance Academy in Goa, dedicated to age old art of Classical dance style Bharatanatyam. Priyanka has been very sound academically and hold a degree in Law from Mumbai University, in addition, her quest for new learning has equipped her with certificates of business management, computers and she is also a degree holder of bachelor in performing Arts “Bharatanatyam” from Gandharva University – Mumbai.

The birth of Priyanka’s Dance Academy took place in the year 1998, with just one student learning Bharatanatyam, the classical dance of Tamil Nadu. It is noteworthy that, so far, 25 students have successfully completed their Arangetram in the Classical Dance Style of Bharatanatyam under the able guidance of Mrs. Priyanka Rane. “Arangetram” literally means, ascending the stage. It marks the completion of initial training in Bharatanatyam for almost 7 to 8 years, whereby the student blossoms into a very good dancer. It is a very prestigious and rare occasion. Mrs. Priyanka Rane, is also a recipient of Goa State award ” Yashodamini” for her tireless and dedicated service in the field of art and dance, upbringing young Talent in Goa. Last but never the least, Priyanka’s Dance Academy will be shortly celebrating it Jubilee year in Jan 2024, 25 Years of dedication is indeed Remarkable.
